I, the undersigned, hereafter desires to participate in the 50th Annual Harambee Festival on October 26, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. I hereby certify and agree as follows.

1. ​ I am at least 18 years of age and agree to abide by all instructions given to me by the managers or directors of the Harambee Festival or their agents. I understand and assume the risks of participating in the 50th Annual Harambee Festival. 

2. I expressly release the City of Dallas, its officers, employees and agents, from any liability for injury or death, and/or damage to my property resulting from participating in the 50th Annual Harambee Festival, regardless of whether the damage or injury was caused and/or contributed to in any way by the negligence, or fault of the City of Dallas, its officers, agents, or employees.

3.  I understand and agree that execution of this Release and Waiver of Liability does not constitute a release or waiver by the City of Dallas of the defense of governmental immunity, or any other legal defense, which may be applicable with respect to any claim, which may arise against the City of Dallas.
